"I’m participating in the Keeping Christ in Christmas Blog Carnival, hosted by Raising (& Teaching) Little Saints, Truly Rich Mom and Arma Dei: Equipping Catholic Families. We'll be sharing different ways, tips, stories and real-life experiences that will help us focus on Jesus as the Reason for the Christmas season. Christmas is just around the corner! Some are still doing their Christmas shopping, and Christmas parties are aplenty. Everybody is obviously busy...But let's veer away from the merry-making for a while and take some time to reflect. I put this Christmas Reflection under my Family Antics because I believe that Christmas is mainly all about family and spending the Holidays together as a family, to celebrate the birth of Christ. Let us remember that the real reason for the season is the gift of Jesus to the world

I am actually guilty of being preoccupied with what gifts to give to loved-ones and friends, not that it's a bad thing, but because I forget that what's most important...celebrating the birth of the little baby, a long time ago in a manger. The Holy Family in Bethlehem spent their Christmas in a most humble place. They only had each other then, with a shining star above as their source of light, oh what a beautiful scene it must've been.

I still remember when Kiel was born, and I was overfilled with bliss seeing my little bundle of joy. And it must've been the same for Mary and Joseph. Any new birth of a sweet little child is worth celebrating!

This year I am thankful for the gift of my family. We were made complete by the birth of our son early this year. I thank God that he blessed us with a healthy baby boy. And it's been a joy watching him grow and being able to witness his achievements

Christmas is more meaningful now that we have Kiel. Having a family means creating new traditions. I want him to grow up and think of Christmas as a family gathering and remember the date as Jesus' birthday and not just a day when a chubby, old man in a suit gives good children gifts. I want to live by the Holy Family's example, celebrating Christmas simply by cherishing the moment they are with one another. My family is the greatest gift I have received this year. We are safe and well, and most of all, we are happy. I couldn't ask for more.

I've also taken a milestone in my career this year. I quit my office job to become a fulltime mom, and decided on being a WAHM. My shift to the fulltime mommy career hasn't been easy, but it is all worth while :) I love being able to "serve" my boys every single day, offer them lots of love and loads of caring. I guess being a housewife is what I'm destined to be! It has also been a fruitful year for my online shop. Recently, my Hoot Hats got qualified as a finalist for the Multiply Origination Awards. And I have big plans for the shop next year. And I always thank God for all His blessings.

I'm looking forward to the following year with full of Hope. I know that there are a lot of tragedies and sad news all over the world today and I constantly pray for those who were hurt and affected, especially for the families that were torn apart. I wish for all families to stay strong in spite of unfortunate events. I believe that God has a special place for all families and humanity if we only place our full Trust in His Glory

This Holiday Season, I am going to enjoy my time with my family, and I hope you do too. Take time to call loved ones abroad, or sing Christmas carols together, complete the 9 midnight masses...Whatever it may be, every precious moment counts :)

Merry Christmas! God bless us all!
